Door Glass Replacement
Many vehicle door glasses are made of tempered glass, which is designed to shatter upon impact; however, many newer vehicles now use laminated door glass in the front doors, similar to windshield glass, which enhances safety by working with side curtain airbags during side collisions. Unlike tempered glass, laminated glass will not easily break to allow entry or exit in emergencies.
When door glass breaks, Liberty AutoGlass carefully removes the door panel, clears all broken glass, and installs the new glass onto the track, securing it to the window regulator—the mechanism that controls window movement. In some cases, the regulator may also need replacement.
The process typically takes up to 1½ hours, and once the glass is installed, all functions—including any auto-up or anti-pinch safety features—are tested to ensure proper operation. Best of all, there’s no wait time—your vehicle is ready to drive immediately after the replacement is complete.
